Continuous Improvement Engineer

for the company’s manufacturing facilities at Lamia

With direct report to the Plant Manager, ensures the training of production staff to the tools and methods related to continuous improvement while manages and facilitates continuous improvement groups related to production and transversal functions.

Responsibilities:
• Management and Leadership
▪ Leads a multidisciplinary team or a workgroup
▪ Gives instructions and provides guidance
▪ Identifies main strengths and improvement points during the shift
▪ Trains people and provides training documents
▪ Assesses and validates the knowledge
• Monitoring of performance
▪ Analyzes performance indicators in line with his perimeter performance objectives
▪ Contributes to the action plan design to reach the performance objectives for his perimeter
▪ Motivates teams to reach performance objectives
Application of standards
▪ Checks the standards on his perimeter
▪ Proposes realistic and applicable actions to correct a gap
▪ Contributes to come back to the standard on his perimeter
▪ Formalizes standards based on the audit results and gap analysis
Continuous improvement
▪ Conducts analysis and problem solving with the teams, or specific continuous improvement groups
▪ Contributes to the standards evolution within his area
▪ Monitors simple projects
▪ Checks people, understands customers’ needs and expectations
▪ Uses appropriate project management tools and methods
▪ Leads brainstorming sessions
▪ Proposes solutions rating the risks of each option
▪ Motivates teams to identify and set up solutions
▪Defines, builds and implements audit support for a process/practice
▪ Audits processes, 5S, visual management
•Customer satisfaction
▪ Makes people aware of customers’ expectations
▪ Identifies improvement points in customer service
▪ Promotes the work done by teams during customers’ visits
•Team work
▪ Creates constructive and positive team spirit to reach the team objectives
▪ Creates opportunities to develop the autonomy of the team
▪ Warms the next shift about specific points to check
▪ Makes sure the performance is kept stable during and after the shift change-over



Candidate Profile:
•University degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical)
•At least 5 years’ experience in an operational position in a plant including project management
•Fluent (in writing and speaking) both in Greek and English language
