Scope of the Role:

• Reports to the South Europe Regional Technical Service Manager
• Provides a sound technical service to customers regarding quality and application of paint
• Ensure all parties understand and agree on the painting requirements
• Contributes to commercial activities in coordination with Sales Team to achieve growth of the business in the region.

Responsibilities:

• Advises on paint specification, provide recommendations for preparation and application, and conducts inspections to ensure paint is applied in acceptable conditions and according to specifications
• Always be aware about any new products technology developments
• Assists Sales with introducing any new products to the customer attention
• Arrange where necessary assistance and application training for new or high value products to the customer to ensure proper application of International Paint (Akzo Nobel brand) fully considering of customers’ needs
• Prepare Technical Coating Reports as per necessity and be capable to operate with such documents during project scope discussions
• Capable on the simple work scope estimations along with product material consumptions
• Provide technical advice and information on products as requested
• Ensure all relevant documentation is available prior to meeting customers and starting projects
• Complete reports accurately and promptly, and keeping a daily logbook of all site and project details
• Coaches and train TSR colleagues as required
• Ensures the timely delivery of paint and collection of returns at completion of the contract
• Supports the sales staff by upgrading or changing paint specification after the in-site inspection and by taking orders.
• Represents the company from a sales perspective and be targeted to deliver sales results
• Comply with technical service specific company HSE rules
• Represent the International Paint brand position in case of disputes and issue disclaimer letters when required
• Always represent the company in a professional and ethical manner

Qualification & Experience:

• 2 years minimum experience in a Marine service environment
• Experience in the Marine and Protective Coatings Industry
• A good technical knowledge of the products
• An understanding of inspection skills and procedures
• IT skills (Outlook/ Word/ Excel) and capable to operate with modern IT technologies and company Sales Tools including ERS and the internal reporting Systems
• Proficient user of the Greek and English language
• NACE or FROSIO qualified desirable (level 1/2/3)
• Completed all training modules
• Travel may be required

Remuneration Package:
Annual Bonus 15% on ABS, paid overtime, company car, mobile phone, laptop.
