Assistant Hotel Manager


ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a luxurious 5-star Resort in Crete, is in search of an “Assistant Hotel Manager” to deputize and assist with managing the overall day to day running of all aspects of the hotel.

Contract: Indefinite duration, throughout the year (the hotel operates from May – October)



The job holder will represent the company towards vendors, clients and authorities and ensure that the property complies with all rules and legislations. He/She will also be responsible for maximising revenues and cost efficiency, through effective teamwork and optimized work processes.

More specifically she/he will:

• Manage the day-to day operations of the hotel, assign responsibilities, supervise the team members and monitor their performance
• Coordinate and supervise the operation of the hotel and its individual departments of the unit, ensuring adherence to policies and smooth cooperation between departments
• Ensure the availability of the resources necessary for the proper function of all departments
• Monitor quality, sales, operating costs, quality indicators and expected profit, plans and proposes corrective measures and actions.
• Work with the Human Resources Department for candidates’ recruitment, the evaluation of existing staff; and the formulation/revision of the compensation and benefits system.
• Ensure theoretical and practical training of all supervisors of departments.
• Communicate with customers, ensuring optimal service level and resolving any problems.
• Participate in the planning and organization of hotel events
• Ensure the safety of customers and staff, by applying health and safety rules, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance department.
• Monitor market trends and practices, ensuring that the hotel operates in accordance with the latest market standards.


• Bachelor`s degree in Business Administration / Economics / Tourism Studies or relevant studies.
• 1-3 years’ experience in F&B / Front Office Manager or relevant position.
• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language.
• Knowledge of German will be highly appreciated.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and hotel management systems.
