ManpowerGroup, on behalf of its client, a leading global consulting, construction engineering, and operating contractor, is in search of a Chief of Administration and Human Resources based in Thessaloniki, for a major railway & transportation client.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all administrative procedures and Human Resources of the Contractor
• Planning and coordinating administrative procedures and systems
• Implementing personnel hiring procedures and trainings
• Specifying responsibilities and office or maintenance spaces for the specific personnel
• Assessing staff performance and providing coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency
• Managing schedules and deadlines regarding the required works in relation to the available personnel
• Monitoring the cost for the personnel, relevant expenses and getting involved in the preparation of budgets of the Contractor
• Supervising the personnel responsible for the operation, maintenance and all activities of the Contractor
• Organizing and conducting the personnel evaluations of the Contractor
• Consulting the management regarding personnel recruitment and selection strategies
• Negotiating the terms and conditions of employment with staff
• Providing advice and assistance to the personnel and the Management on labor law issues and issues related to policies, procedures, legislation, and enterprise agreements
• Overseeing the training processes
• Providing support and acting accordingly in issues related to the personnel (accidents, sick leaves etc)

Skills and Competencies:
• In-depth understanding of personnel management procedures, relevant policies, legal aspects and the different labour conditions and characteristics of the work positions at the various Sections of the Contractor
• Solid knowledge and experience of the Labor Law
• Knowledge of the best practices on personnel recruitment and selection
• Leading initiatives and approaches designed to build employee engagement
• Familiarity with financial and facilities management principles
• Proficient in MS Office and able to understand the personnel electronic
• management software
• An analytical mind with problem-solving skills concerning the personnel
• Ability to operate effectively in a complex and diverse environment
• Ability to use an HR information system including, accessing, inputting and use of data, compiling the verbal communication skills to communicate with various groups, personnel evaluation etc. based on optimum use
• Written communication skills to produce succinct correspondence and reports
• Ability to write and present information
• Experience in providing advisory services and support to higher ranking executives in terms of personnel strategic management
• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language

Experience:
• Ten (10) years of experience, as a minimum, in Human Resources Management in companies with staff over 200
• Proven managerial experience in administrative positions (minimum 3 years).
• Desirable previous experience in Transportation Systems Environment.

Education:
• University Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or other relative field of business studies
• Post-graduate qualification in the broader field of Business Administration preferred
• Accreditation in or completion of recognized HR development programs
• Law studies are highly regarded
