What you will be doing:As a Cloud Engineer you will be part of their IT Operations Team that consists of system administrators, network engineers, Database Administrators, Cloud/SRE Engineers, Security engineers and DevOps building an IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) platform.
You will be involved in the successful design, delivery and support of the company’s projects to Enterprise clients.
More specifically you will be:
Implementing, maintaining and updating the company’s systems in local and cloud infrastructure
Staying updated on advancements in the field of cloud computing to advise on industry best practices
Implementing innovative solutions to improve the performance and functionality of the cloud infrastructure
Ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of the cloud infrastructure
Locating, evaluating, and fixing infrastructure risks and deployment problems
Periodically evaluating computer systems and offering suggestions for performance enhancements and improvements
Analyzing current systems to find flaws that can jeopardize cloud security
Ensuring the protection of data in computer systems by working with Cybersecurity and IT staff
Automating specific system operations to enhance efficiency and speed
Monitoring and supporting cloud and local infrastructure and ensure that the infrastructure is available, operating and SLA’s are fulfilled
Investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving any issues in cloud/local environments by examining configuration, checking logs, etc.
Participating in 24x7 on-call rotation monitoring systems for meeting defined SLAs
Requirements
A BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field
2+ years of experience in Cloud Computing
Good understanding of cloud computing technologies, from Azure such as VMs, storage accounts, Kubernetes clusters, Application Gateways, load balancers, VPN Gateways, etc.
Knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services, Azure Active Directory, and office 365
Good knowledge of Linux file system and general system administrator operations
Good knowledge of scripting languages like bash, python, ansible
Good knowledge of networking concepts, technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, subnetting, VPN, DNS, email / smtp, etc.
Good knowledge of firewall rules on Azure Cloud and services like iptables, firewall, etc.
Good knowledge of Git for version control and collaboration
Analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting
Ability to monitor system performance and analyze systems logs to identify problems
Strong communication and collaboration skills both in Greek and English
