ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a Financial and Technology Services Provider is seeking for an experienced Database Administrator to join their Application Support TeamWorkplace Location: Athens - Northern Suburbs

What you will be doing:You will be part of the Application Support Team and you will be reporting to the Senior IT Director. You will help support databases and data warehouses across the business.
More specifically you will:
• Participate in defining and maintaining the logical and physical designs of the databases
• Monitor and maintain the SQL Scheduler
• Monitor performance and data integrity and perform appropriate corrective actions
• Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans both for every day and disaster recovery purposes
• Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
• Support installation and testing of new versions of the database management system and applications using the database
• Establish the needs of users and monitor user access and security
• Control access permissions and privileges
• Maintain data standards, including adherence to Data Security policies
• Assist with creating written database documentation, including data
• and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
• Carry out capacity planning
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science preferred
• 2+ yrs of demonstratable competence in DB Admin tasks in MS SQL
• Experience in SQL DDL, DML, and T-SQL coding skills
• Ability to manage multiple competing tasks simultaneously and complete work within allocated timeframes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn, adapt, communicate, and organize
• Customer focused with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English
Any experience in the following will be highly appreciated
• Experience in MS SSIS
• Experience in Data Warehouses support
• Experience supporting financial systems
