Export Sales Manager

ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a leading confectionary company that preserves its family character but is also adapted to the increased requirements of the present years, gaining in this way worthy place in the Greek market and acquiring an important stance in the European, American and Middle Eastern markets, is in search of an Export Sales Manager.

The role will be reporting to the Commercial Manager, but also will have direct communication with the company’s shareholders.

Responsibilities:
This role will be responsible for managing and coordinating exports activities in new and existing markets, leading to the development of an efficient sales network, with the following key responsibilities:

• Planning and implementing export sales strategy
• Monitoring market trends, study competitors (marketing & sales strategy) and carrying out SWOT analysis
• Developing the export business plan alongside the commercial manager. Participation in planning of the long-term export marketing strategy, presenting market opportunities and innovative ideas. Determining the export unique selling proposition (USP), aiming to stand out the brand amongst the competition
• Providing market feedback regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and new product development ideas
• Setting budgets and sales forecasts
• Identifying and analyzing opportunities for business development, within a defined area or sector.
• Developing on going market penetration strategy
• Attending international trade exhibitions on behalf of the company (ISM, SIAL, YUMMEX)
• Monitoring KPI’s, ensuring the sales objectives achievement
• Developing the sales network with the appropriate distributor per target market / channel
• Creating, negotiating, closing commercial agreements and formulating financial offers
• Building relationships with existing clients and maximizing sales opportunities within them
• Confirming orders and managing documentation relating to the shipments
• Ensuring the smooth cooperation among all business units
• Reporting results to the shareholders on a quarterly and annual basis

Candidate Profile:
• 5 years of experience in an organized sales department, ideally within the FMCG industry
• 2 years of experience as an export manager
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field
• Knowledge of confectionery sector will be considered a plus
• Fluency in English and knowledge of a second foreign language will be appreciated
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literacy
• Analytical mindset, strong critical and strategic thinking
• Strong customer orientation, negotiation and managerial skills
• Must be team player and self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
