PHP Software Engineer (easyBoat / Product)

ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of easyBoat®, a Greek startup company in the Tourism sector, part of the easy® family of brands, with an innovative Booking Platform, is seeking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong PHP skills, to join their Product Team

Workplace Location: Athens - two locations (Glyfada and Peristeri)

Work Model: Hybrid

What you will be doing:
As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the Product Team and, you will be involved in the overall Software Development Lifecycle for both existing and new product features. You will focus on driving product development and ensure high level of quality service and customer experience. In addition, you will participate in the decisions about important technology and product questions as well as defining the Product Roadmap.

More specifically you will:
• Participate in the product vision and roadmap, as a subject matter expert
• Create robust product requirements, with prioritized features and justification to drive product development
• Define and deliver design and technical requirements
• Implement new product features, using PHP, Laravel, MySQL and other tools/technologies and produce functional and high-quality code
• Perform troubleshooting and support on the existing product features
• Conduct integration tests and optimize performance
• Coordinate with all internal stakeholders and external partners for alignment on priorities and timelines

Requirements
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related fields
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Strong technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Strong experience with web development technologies and frameworks (preferably PHP and Laravel)
• Experience with SQL Databases, preferably MySQL
• Deep understanding of the Object-Oriented programming patterns and best practices
• Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results in a demanding and fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and data-driven thinking
• Fluent written and spoken English

Any of the following will be considered an asset
• Good working knowledge with RESTful APIs design
• Previous exposure with Product Development related roles
• Experience in Agile methodologies
