We are looking for experienced SAP Solution Expert in SD, on behalf of our partner, a leading Retail company with head-offices in Athens.

The SAP Solutions Experts will definitely participate in the upgrading of the SAP ecosystem, understand the impact and needs of the applications, support a multi-system application architecture and contribute to the thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs for the applications involved and the impact upon each other.

They will also align technology solutions with business strategies, working primarily with business process SMEs, data stewards and technical specialists across functional disciplines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides expertise advice on application architecture design of SD. Collaborates with the Process Stewards, Delivery Leads and Project managers in business analysis, solution design and parameterization /implementation of the relevant solutions.
• Works closely with the SAP team, external vendors and the other IT members to ensure that there is a proper architectural fit to meet Company’s requirements, continues demands and qualifications.
• Ensures and develops the appropriate documentation, including the end-to-end business process/application/technology landscape.
• Provides consultancy and support to internal clients, Senior Application Technical Specialists and other technical team members in all aspects of enabling technologies to meet business needs.
• Leads cross functional project teams and functional groups within the Company ERP team; including also other internal IT groups and key technology solution partners to design and implement specific solutions to Company’s most challenging and high visibility business requirements. Takes into consideration the relevant changes to business models, possible mergers and acquisitions, and availability of new technologies.
• Collaborates with hardware, network and database architects to research new technologies where appropriate and facilitates the introduction of new technologies and process improvements.
• Preserves compliance with applicable Corporate Policies and procedures.
• Provides a fair level of cross functional experience involving at least PP, WM, and FI processes.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:
• A minimum of 6 years SAP experience including at least 3 years as solution expert in SD.
• BSc. in Computer Science, Mathematics Operational Research and Economics or a related subject is a must. MBA is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of project planning, control methods and tools (MS-Project).
• Experience in Global SAP implementations /roll-outs in a project planning and management capacity will be considered advantageous.
• Experience and knowledge of Retail Industry and validated software environments will be highly appreciated.

• Strong analytical skills. Capable to perform complex system analysis and draw conclusions by relating information from different sources, including root-cause analysis and issue resolution. Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities remaining calm and stress tolerant to meet timelines cognizant of business needs and constraints.
• Highly self-motivated, driven work ethic, keen attention to detail and exceptional customer service orientation.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills. Particularly strong capability to relate technical ideas and functionality to non-technical users.
• Capable to be part of a highly matrixed environment as a member of a dynamic and cross functional team comprised of colleagues and technical experts of all hierarchical levels.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining strong working relationships
