Senior SQL Developer (FinTech / Hybrid)

ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a well-established Financial Software Provider, is looking for an experienced Senior SQL Developer to join their Application Support Team.

Workplace Location: Athens – Greece (in a hybrid working model)

You will be responsible for the design, maintenance and monitoring of the SQL Server Database, and the manipulation, process and extraction of data from large datasets of Banking Risk Applications.

More specifically you will:

Perform day-to-day operations (includes monitoring and maintenance, problem investigation and resolution, database optimization and tuning, etc.)

Identify and troubleshoot challenging data modelling issues requiring advanced logic and SQL skills

Provide ongoing support to clients

Develop, construct, test and maintain data architecture end to end

Deploy major code releases while maintaining code guidelines

Work closely with Business Analysts and relevant Business stakeholders on the development of new features

Provide technical documentation for modules she/he is involved in

Requirements

A BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

Proficiency in data modelling, design patterns, building highly scalable and secured solutions

4+ years of experience in MS SQL Server and the MS stack for data integration, reporting and analysis (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)

Experience in SQL Server database tuning and query optimization techniques

Experience with end-to-end testing of data pipelines

Experience working with version control systems

Excellent knowledge of English language (both oral and written)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team with constant cooperation and interaction

Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities and projects

Will be considered a strong asset:

Knowledge of the banking or financial industry and products or risk management

Understanding of banking/prudential regulation and the concepts of capital and liquidity adequacy
